Her Patience was Artificial and Constructed

She brought misery to herself

Trying to uphold abusive systems

She was too innocently loyal to betray.

I wanted to force her to

Stow her voice away.

She was fractured by ravines and crevasses,

But, her resolution was sturdy.

Her voice, set free from her padlocked throat,

A furious crack of thunder,

Had the potential to create disasters.

Oh, the release after so much waiting.
